Wiltoma Ball

Wiltoma Jones Ball, 88, of Wichita passed away on June 5, 2024. She was born on September 22, 1935 to Troy Lane and Wilma Penn Jones in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the first woman to graduate with a Bachelor’s in Geology from Oklahoma State University. Wiltoma worked for Slawson Oil Company in Wichita, Kansas.  She left the career world to raise her three children.   Wiltoma’s most recent position was an administrative assistant position at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.  She was married to Edward Willis Ball on August 3, 1956.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Wilma Jones; and grandson, Troy Ball. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Willis; children, Edward Lane (Traci) Ball, Karan Lin (Mark) Guetersloh, Joel Dean Ball; grandchildren, Charissa, Trevor (Noemi), Erin, Kayla, Whitney, Evelynn, Tyler, Britain (Jared), Caleb, Chelsea, William, and Phillip; great-grandchildren, Parker, Wyatt, Kahlani, Maximiliano, and Mateo.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society.
