Winnifred Millham

Winnifred Ann Peterson Millham, 103, passed away 5/28/21. Born December 29, 1917 in Landa, North Dakota she lived in Fordville and Hillsboro into her teen years then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota with her family.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Home Economics degree she moved to Oxnard, California to marry Dr. Thomas Millham. She lived there for 62 years as wife, mother, a volunteer in many civic organizations, and founding member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. In 2002 she and her husband moved to Larksfield Place in Wichita, Kansas.

Winnifred was preceded in death by parents Parelius and Rhoda Peterson, husband Thomas Millham, son Douglas Millham, grandson Tyler Millham, brothers Erwin and Ingolv Peterson.

She is survived by son Stephen (Nancy) Millham, daughter-in-law Jacquelyn Millham, grandchildren Cynthia (Andy) Ecsedy, Joseph Millham, Anna (Aaron) Lesser, Jonathan (Bridget) Millham, Rebecca (Joseph) Boland), five great grandchildren, nieces Karen Peterson & Constance (Bruce) Campbell, and the Thodal-Ness & Nellis families.

An interment service will be held at a later date in California.

Her family acknowledges the wonderful support and care that Tom and Winnifred received from employees and residents of Larksfield Place.
