Mary J Presson

October 3, 1950 ~ November 9, 2021 (age 71)

Mary Jane Bowen Presson, age 71, died on November 9th after a long illness. She was born October 3, 1950 in Bryan, Texas to Jack Huston and Agnes Downing Bowen. She graduated from Allen Military Academy, where she was renowned for her sharpshooting skills, and went on to attend Texas A&M where she worked in the admissions office. Her tireless advocacy for others led her to several other positions once she moved to Kansas, including a role at Cargill for which she was awarded a presidential honor from George Bush himself. Mary Jane reposed in the presence of her family after courageously and with dignity enduring a long journey with dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Pete Presson; two sons, Kurt and Cliff (Dee Ann) Bragg; one daughter, Amanda (Shawn) Rucker; one brother, Jack Bowen, Jr.; 3 grandsons; and 1 granddaughter. She loved her family more than anything on earth, and more than anything on earth she longed to be with Christ in his joy and rest. Contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in her memory.
